Costs and border charges
A useful quote separates the moving parts
AmeriKiwi does not publish one flat USA-to-NZ price because size, weight, retailer shipping, sales tax and border charges change by item.
Your quote is built from the approved product cost, any US domestic shipping and sales tax, AmeriKiwi’s service fee, international freight, NZ courier delivery and estimated duty or GST where relevant.
The current service fee is NZ$35 minimum, or 13.5% of the product plus US shipping, whichever is greater. Freight and border charges are shown separately.
GST and import considerations
AmeriKiwi is not a customs broker and does not provide tax or import advice. We can show estimates when the application can calculate them, but New Zealand Customs and other agencies make the final assessment.

Can AmeriKiwi buy from US stores that do not ship to New Zealand?
Yes, you can submit products from US stores for review. AmeriKiwi may be able to purchase the approved item in the United States and arrange shipping to New Zealand, but some retailers, products or categories may be declined.
Do I need a US address or US payment card?
No. AmeriKiwi's service is designed for shoppers who want purchasing assistance as well as shipping. You submit the item, review the quote, and AmeriKiwi buys the approved product after payment clears.
Are GST and import charges included?
Quotes show estimated duty or GST where the application can estimate them, but border charges are set by New Zealand Customs and other agencies, not by AmeriKiwi. Estimates remain estimates unless a quote clearly says otherwise.
Can I track the order?
Yes. AmeriKiwi orders use one request reference and a dashboard timeline showing review, quote, purchase, US receiving, international transit, local courier and delivery steps.
